Boolean searching is built on a method of symbolic logic developed by George Boole, a 19th century English Mathematician. This workshop will introduce basic Boolean Search techniques as well introduce some advanced techniques. A number of the Hesburgh Libraries databases are “Boolean Friendly” and useful for narrowing the scope of your research topic.

Students are encouraged to bring their own laptop and or hand-held devices for this session.
