Choose a citation and research management software: What will work for your needs?


Want to be the best you can be in managing your research, literature, citations and annotations? Are you unsure which software to choose? The University offers RefWorks as a solution. This session will provide background on RefWorks and other citation managers so that you can decide which is best for your needs.
 
The session will include an introduction to the reasons we use this software at all, the basic features and some advanced features will be shared and your questions will be answered. Demonstrations will be based on the interest of attendees. You will have some hands on time to work with the systems.

Participants will:
  • Become familiar with citation management software that is officially and unofficially supported by the University including similarities and differences in features;
  • Learn about considerations and comparisons of the software solutions discussed;
  • Identify ways to find support through the Hesburgh Libraries services and vendor websites;
  • Spend time using the systems during the session with encouragement to continue working with them after;
